Strength in Transition
Strength in Transition
Amy Bushatz transitioned from an Active Duty Spouse to a Veteran Spouse in 2016 and moved with her family to Palmer, Alaska -- a place they had never been -- to search for healing from the wounds of war. She is the Executive Editor of Military.com, a 2019 George W. Bush Stand-To Leadership Scholar, and is currently helping her husband develop his non-profit Remedy Alpine. On top of all this, Amy encourages people to get outside for at least 20 minutes a day through Humans Outside and is launching her podcast THIS WEEK. There is no shortage of icicles and snow in her pictures of time spent outside.
During her interview you’ll learn about:
Dealing with trauma as a family, years after it occurred
The importance of establishing boundaries that protect and serve as self-care
The emotional roller-coaster of transitioning out of the service as a family
Healthy ways to deal with transition and reclaiming your new identity
