The Power of Choice | The MilSpo's Guide to Self-Care

milsposelfcare power of choice pinIt started with the ring of a hotel room phone.

I didn’t think anyone even knew who I was yet.

Apparently my all-star-volunteer reputation had preceded me to Fort Bragg. Before we were even settled, someone from post was calling to ask for my help — again, without pay.

Normally, I would have said yes. But on this day, I said no.

For 22 years, I had helped volunteer at schools, led community events, and supported my husband’s military career. While I enjoyed doing these things, I was burnt out on putting my own values, dreams, and goals on hold.

Things started to change when I decided to choose me. Soon, I had a career I enjoyed. (With a real paycheck!) Plus, I still had time for things I considered fun and things that directly impacted my husband and two boys. Win - win.

Want to know how I made the switch and stuck with it?

It’s called, “Power of Choice.” Join me this month as we kick-off InDependent’s "The Milspo’s Guide to Self-Care" virtual series. Register here to participate.

During the month of January, I’ll help you create the life YOU want. In my short presentation, I will teach you how to:

  • Choose intentionally
  • Define your direction
  • Create habits
  • Uncover your why

In addition, I’ll provide you with helpful resources along the way.

My Book Recommendations:

Group Coaching Session:

Wednesday, January 20 via Google Hangouts at 8 p.m. EST
. An email reminder will go out to all registrants Jan 17.

Space will be limited. First come, first served. Session will be recorded and emailed to those who cannot attend in person.

Peer-to-Peer Discussion and Meet-Up:

Join the conversation in the InDependent | Virtual private Facebook group. Here we will spark conversations and continue sharing online and local resources. Plus, each local community group will host an in-person gathering at the end of the month where you’ll have an opportunity to meet like-minded spouses.

New year. New you. Let me help you get started.
