Homemade Ranch Dip with Greek Yogurt
The ranch dip that comes in an envelope and gets mixed with sour cream used to be one of my favorite party foods. I loved it on potato chips and fresh veggies. Now that I’ve started reading labels, a product with MSG as the second ingredient isn’t something that I want to feed to my family or friends.
Have you ever needed a quick dish to take to a potluck luncheon with other military spouses or were you asked to bring a healthy dish to your child’s school? This recipe will save the day!
Recently, I was asked to prepare a vegetable platter for a party. I knew somebody else was bringing hummus, so I needed something else to accompany the veggies. I pulled a recipe for ranch dressing off of a popular wellness blogger’s website, but my fresh garlic was really strong and I didn’t care for olive oil mixed with Greek yogurt in a dip.
So, now short on time and still needing something to serve with my veggies, I hurried back to the commissary and picked up another container of Greek yogurt and made my own recipe. This is what I came up with using simple, whole ingredients that taste great. No blender needed!
